Wool and whimsy in the frozen North.

Coming together June 21, 2010

Slowly but surely, this place is starting to kinda look like home.

I’d say we’re maybe half done unpacking. The books aren’t started yet, nor is any of my craft stuff, and the clothes are still in tubs. The kitchen’s done, though, but for the cookbooks, and the movies and games are all out. Cory’s computer stuff is mostly organized, as well. We have so much space here, it’s kind of unbelievable. I don’t know what to do with it all. Of course the downstairs will remain mostly untouched until James moves in- I don’t want to get used to using a space that isn’t really ours. The only things down there that we’re using are the washer/dryer and the storage space. I was amazed by how compactly Cory managed to pack the storage area- there’s still lots of space there.

I’m hoping to be completely unpacked by this weekend- next weekend at the latest. A friend of mine is visiting from CO and he might be crashing with us while he’s here, so I’d like this place to look half-presentable.

Yay! You’ll be unpacked well before we will. The photos look gorgeous! I’m so glad you’re finally moved into your new home! I can’t wait to see it!!

(if you and Cory don’t have plans for the 4th of July, you’re invited over to our place for a cookout. If you have plans, that’s cool too. 🙂 )

Wow, you’ve gotten so much done! I think your living room actually looks bigger with furniture in it. Did it seem that way to you, too? I agree with getting the kitchen set up first, but it’s kind of funny that you took care of the movies and games, but not your clothes. Ah, well. Soon it’ll all be done and you can settle in for real.
